Agreement to these terms
By using deendock.com or the DeenDock Android app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you use the app, Google Play’s terms also apply to your download and installation.
These terms cover the DeenDock website and app together. Where a rule applies to only one of them, the section says so.
Using the website
The website is free to use and does not require an account. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully or to harm others.
- Send automated requests at a rate that degrades the service, or attempt to bypass rate limits and security controls.
- Copy, republish or resell substantial parts of the service without permission.
- Misrepresent DeenDock content as the output of another organisation.
The app
The DeenDock app is distributed through Google Play. Downloading it is free; the app is supported by advertising. Features may depend on your device, Android version, network and the permissions you grant.
Notifications, alarms and background updates depend on your phone’s battery optimisation settings. DeenDock works to deliver Adhan alerts reliably, but cannot guarantee delivery when the operating system suspends an app or the device is off.
Religious content and accuracy
Prayer times, the Qibla direction and Hijri dates are calculated from established astronomical methods and the method you select. They are a reference, not a ruling. Calculation methods, rounding, high-latitude conventions and local moon sighting can differ from your mosque. For obligatory acts of worship, follow your local mosque and qualified scholars.
Quran translations are interpretations, not the Quran itself. Duas, hadith and articles are provided with sources where available, but remain subject to scholarly review. The zakat calculator produces an estimate; it is not a fatwa and does not account for every personal circumstance.
No account, no paid tier
The current release does not require an account, and there is no subscription or paid tier for prayer times, Qibla or Quran reading. If accounts or paid features are added later, these terms will be updated before they apply.
Intellectual property
The DeenDock name, logo, interface, editorial content and original code are owned by DeenDock and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not use the brand or assets in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.
Quran text and translations come from public-domain or licensed sources. Mosque data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors via Geoapify and is used under the applicable open-data licence. Third-party content remains the property of its providers.
Third-party links and services
The service links to Google Play, data providers and other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their terms apply when you use them.
Advertising
The Android app displays advertising through Google AdMob to remain free. We do not control the specific ads shown. Ad content does not constitute our endorsement, and any transaction with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend the service for maintenance. We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If a data provider is unavailable, we may show the most recent saved data and label it as such.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that every time, bearing, translation or piece of content is free from error. Verify anything you rely on for worship with a qualified local authority.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeenDock is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
We may suspend or end access to the service if you breach these terms, misuse the service or create risk for other users or for us. You can stop using the service at any time by leaving the website and uninstalling the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page is the effective date of the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
